Toby was recently rescued from a family who crated him 20 hours a day. They told us that he was to active for a senior family member so the best option for Toby was to keep him crated during the day and night. We placed him into a foster home upon intake. The foster immediately noticed Toby was urinating blood frequently. We setup the first surgery date we could find for him and sadly the doctorâ??s found he had a stone in his urethra and a terrible UTI infection. Toby had bladder and urethra surgery done, a full dental and neuter. He is recovering from the surgeries and is doing much better. We have him on a special diet to help with his condition.
Poor Toby was matted from head to paw! It took the professional groomer 3 hours to groom this boy clean! Heâ??s a loving little boy who loves people and other dogs. Heâ??s starting to play and goes on frequent walks daily. No more crating or holding back medical support for this baby! We need your help with his medical bill! Caring Hearts Rescue is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization based in Fairfax, Virginia. Our volunteers rescue small breed dogs from desperate situations including neglect, puppy mill rescue, owner surrender and euthansia by animal shelters due to overpopulation. All of our rescued dogs stay in safe foster homes while they await their "forever home." Our rescued babies are examined, given inoculations and spayed/neutered before placement.
Our volunteers search for families that understand the responsibility of being a Guardian to these little guys and consider them members of the family. This is a priority to our organization. CHR rely's on donations to keep the rescue operating. None of our Officers receive money for their servides, only the heartfelt satisfaction of saving these wonderful lives.
